By submitting this document you hold Tuscarora Yacht Club (TYC) harmless
against any claims, theft, damage caused by others or damage that you may cause
to other property, personal or other while having your Dingy / Dry Sail Boat
stored on Tuscarora Yacht Club Property.
The Island parking lot will be used to store
Dinghies and Dry Sail Boats17ft and under.
There are 12 parking spaces, which will be assigned
to the members by lottery for the boating season per paragraph 3 below.
All spaces are assigned for one season May
1st through the second weekend in September only
Dinghies or Dry Sail Boats assigned to a
parking space must be on trailers or hand carts at all times while stored on
Dinghies or Dry Sail Boats must be situated
such that there isn’t any “Ponding” of water either inside of boat or in its
One space per member.
All Dinghies or Dry Sail Boats must be
seaworthy, (Dinghies must stay inflated at all times)
All Dinghies or Dry Sail Boats must be moved
by hand to and from the parking spaces. No vehicle of any type is to be used
to move the Dingy or Dry Sail boat to and from the parking spaces. If a
personal vehicle is used to launch or retrieve the Dingy or Dry Sail boat,
you can only hook or unhook the Dingy or Dry Sail boat in the roadway and
safely away from other vehicles in the parking lot. Please be courteous of
others using the roadway and watch for children.
After launching or retrieved your Dingy or
Dry Sail with your personal vehicle, the trailer must be returned by hand to
the parking space and not left attached to the vehicle in the parking lot or
any other location on the grounds.
No Club vehicles (golf cart, lawn mower, etc) are
to be used by any member for hauling, launching or retrieving any member’s
personal Dingy or Dry Sail boat.
No PWC ( personal water craft ), aluminum boats,
ski jets etc. will be allowed in the area
No Dinghy or Dry Sail Boat to include
trailers, trailer tongues, motors and masts can exceed a total overall
length of 17ft and the total width cannot exceed 6 ft.
All Dinghy or Dry Sail Boats are required to have
the hitch or handle facing outward from the space assigned
All trailers must have owners name and phone
numbers visible on them.
All Dinghies or Dry Sail Boats will be
removed from the club property by the second weekend of September do to
cradles being set in the parking lot. Owners will be responsible for their
own storage off of club property.
Fleet Captain at his / her discretion may ask owner
to remove Dinghy or Dry Sail Boat from TYC property and lose parking
privileges for the year if they find any violation of the above rules or any
other cause deemed fit.
